merry christmas....
Christmas is always my favorite time of year because it's one of the only times our entire family gets together. In fact, with Kory getting back from his mission this past summer, this is the first time we have all been back for Christmas in awhile now. What a great feeling it is to have everyone around. Merry Christmas!

they say change is good.
- it started when paul moved out
then chris moved out
then ty got married and moved away
then sloth got married and moved out
+ but then we got Brian back
then Kory moved in
then Tyson moved in
then Mike moved in
- but now I'm leaving
Brandon is heading out to China
Brian is heading out to Moscow.
the dynamics of our little crew has changed over the past year. It is funny to think that one year ago our house was partying hard and school was not a real priority. Now I'm graduating, 2 got married, everyone else is on track for graduation, and our idea of partying is practicing, hitting the hot tub and finishing with some FIFA on the x-box.
I believe change is a good thing. I have moved around quite a bit and I enjoy change. And even if it is difficult it usually results in some form of progression.
However, I've spent the past couple of days a little sad as I look to the future. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled for everyone and the new chapters of life they are beginning or have already begun, but I'm going to miss this chapter. It's been fun.
Now what?
Accept the inevitable and just enjoy the ride. I'm excited for California next semester and excited to hear what everyone is up to. Should be another great year -- and where will we be when it ends? Well here's a few predictions. . .
Brandon stays in China.... not intentionally. It's Communist China, he's stuck.
Brian stays in Moscow....not intentionally. It's formerly Communist Russia, he's stuck.
Lil C ends up making the football team down at Dixie and never comes back.
Mike marries Sophronia and moves to England.
Chris will be able to benchpress the equivalent of 5 me's.... and he gets a girlfriend.
Tyson remains single. HAHA j/k Still workin SchoolTipline and has a girlfriend..hopefully. HA
Ty and Krista have a kid and name it Kyle.
Sloth and Ashley also have a kid and also name it Kyle.
As for me. Well according to the Bishops "pulpit prophecy" in church the other week, I'm getting married. HAHA! Doubtful. But I suppose I should keep an open mind, right?

where has the time gone?
I took my last final on Monday. Not just my last for the semester, my last forever. Unless of course I end up doing graduate school. wrong! It's a weird feeling when something comes to an end. I've spent quite a bit of time here at BYU, 5 years to be exact, which feels like forever. High School seems like a distant memory. I can remember absolutely hating my first semester here. There were a lot of reasons, GE classes suck, my family was living in Singapore still where I wanted to be, the honor code was a bit intense for me (i'm more of an independent spirit), and at the time I felt like the people I was around were self righteous and judgemental. I actually begged my parents to not make me come back here when I went home for Christmas.
They made me go back.
But I started going to breakdance club that semester and met some guys who kind of took me in and made me feel part of something. In fact I live with one of them now, Mike Easterling. Came back from the mission and picked up right where I left off. Doing the bboy thing. These guys I dance with have become family to me and have made this journey through BYU an experience I would not trade for anything. That's right, groundhounds son! uuuughhhh! haha
But it wasn't just these guys who made the difference there have been countless others who I have met in class, or in church or through other dance groups I have done that have brought joy to my life. And even though they'll probably never even read this I want to say thank-you, you have enriched my time here at BYU.
Enough nostalgia.
I just took my last final ever. ever. ever. ever. After 5 years of tests, papers, projects -- this feeling is priceless.
